Cedar Park Massage Therapy for Pain Management

Written By The Tri Doc on June 16, 2016

At Wellness and Better Health Chiropractic, we strive to help each of our patients meet their pain management and wellness goals. Part of this commitment to services includes offering a wide range of services that work together to promote overall health. In fact, one of the most common complements to traditional adjustment is massage therapy. Our chiropractor, Dr. Tuggle, regularly works with our licensed massage therapist to incorporate healing touch treatment into a pain management regiment.

While many think of massage as simply a relaxing spa service, it has actually been a healing technique for centuries. And while a few of the ways massage therapists practice has changed over the years, the same principles remain. To give our patients the highest level of care possible, we also train our staff on what massage therapy techniques are critical to healing certain spinal/back  injuries, personal injuries, auto accident injuries, and sports injuries. This inclusion of massage has been proven to greatly increase healing speed and range of motion when paired with traditional adjustment techniques.

Massage is Helpful for More than Just Back Pain

Most people do not realize that massage is for more than just back pain. Healing touch from a chiropractor can also help with neck pain, chronic headaches, fibromyalgia, and more. Patients have also reported a decrease in stress, lower anxiety levels, lower blood pressure, and increased range of motion after having a massage. This method is one that can even be used long after the initial injury that brought a patient to our office is healed to keep pain from returning.
